Guide to Understanding Stress

Our clients are telling us (and we are experiencing first-hand) that this is a stressful time to be a human in the world!

Most of us have our “usual” stresses that we carry around with us on a daily basis - but right now many people are carrying an extra load. Ongoing concerns about the pandemic, unprocessed trauma from the past 2 years, changing work environments, relationship strain – all of this is causing enormous amounts of stress.

You don’t simply have to accept that this is a stressful time and suffer the consequences. You CAN reduce your stress. You CAN find ways to cope better. You can start by becoming aware of the stressors that are within or outside of your control and focus on what you can control. You can also educate yourself about what is going on when you experience stress so that you can become more aware of your automatic reactions.
